Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna is conducting the Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test (BLET/LET) 2026. The examination is being conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the Librarian post in schools across Bihar. This is not a direct recruitment examination for any new vacancies; therefore, there is no fixed number of posts/vacancies applicable to this examination. As per the available information, candidates belonging to the General category must have secured at least 45% marks, while relaxation in marks will be provided to reserved categories as per the applicable rules. Regarding the age limit, this is not an examination with the usual recruitment-style age limit of 21–40 years. As per the available rules, the maximum age limit varies according to the candidate's category: 37 years for General category male candidates, 40 years for General category female candidates and BC/EBC candidates, and 42 years for SC/ST candidates. The minimum qualifying marks for the examination are reported as 50% for General category candidates, 45.5% for BC candidates, 42.5% for EBC candidates, and 40% for SC/ST, PwD, and female candidates. The BLET 2026 is an Eligibility Test, so it should not be considered a direct Librarian recruitment examination or a recruitment process for a fixed number of vacancies. Candidates who qualify in the examination may become eligible to apply for future Librarian recruitment as per the applicable rules and the recruitment notification issued by the concerned authority.
बिहार विद्यालय परीक्षा समिति (BSEB) पटना द्वारा बिहार स्कूल लाइब्रेरियन एलिजिबिलिटी टेस्ट (BLET/LET) 2026 आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यह परीक्षा बिहार के विद्यालयों में पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष पद के लिए अभ्यर्थियों की पात्रता निर्धारित करने के उद्देश्य से आयोजित की जा रही है। यह स्वयं किसी नई भर्ती के लिए रिक्त पदों की भर्ती परीक्षा नहीं है, इसलिए इसमें कुल पद/वैकेंसी की संख्या लागू नहीं है। ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया 1 अक्टूबर 2026 से शुरू हो चुकी है और उम्मीदवार 21 अक्टूबर 2026 तक आवेदन कर सकेंगे। आवेदन शुल्क सामान्य/BC/EBC उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹960 तथा SC/ST/PwD उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹760 निर्धारित है। परीक्षा की तिथि आधिकारिक पोर्टल पर बाद में घोषित की जानी है। परीक्षा कंप्यूटर आधारित (CBT) माध्यम से आयोजित होगी तथा इसमें कुल 150 प्रश्न होंगे, जिनके लिए 150 अंक निर्धारित हैं। परीक्षा की अवधि 2 घंटे 30 मिनट होगी और परीक्षा में नकारात्मक अंकन नहीं रखा गया है। प्रश्नपत्र में Library & Information Science से 100 प्रश्न तथा General Knowledge से 50 प्रश्न होंगे। पात्रता की बात करें तो उम्मीदवार के पास मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से Library Science में Bachelor Degree होना आवश्यक है। उपलब्ध जानकारी के अनुसार सामान्य वर्ग के उम्मीदवारों के लिए न्यूनतम 45% अंक निर्धारित हैं, जबकि आरक्षित वर्गों को नियमानुसार छूट दी जाएगी। आयु सीमा के संबंध में यह सामान्य नई भर्ती की तरह केवल 21–40 वर्ष वाली परीक्षा नहीं है। उपलब्ध नियमों के अनुसार वर्ग के आधार पर अधिकतम आयु सीमा अलग-अलग निर्धारित है—सामान्य वर्ग के पुरुषों के लिए 37 वर्ष, सामान्य वर्ग की महिलाओं तथा BC/EBC उम्मीदवारों के लिए 40 वर्ष और SC/ST उम्मीदवारों के लिए 42 वर्ष। इस परीक्षा में न्यूनतम अर्हतांक सामान्य वर्ग के लिए 50%, BC के लिए 45.5%, EBC के लिए 42.5% तथा SC/ST, दिव्यांग और महिला उम्मीदवारों के लिए 40% निर्धारित बताया गया है। BLET 2026 एक पात्रता परीक्षा (Eligibility Test) है, इसलिए इसे सीधे लाइब्रेरियन भर्ती या किसी निश्चित संख्या में पदों की भर्ती के रूप में नहीं समझना चाहिए। परीक्षा में सफल उम्मीदवार संबंधित नियमों और भविष्य में जारी होने वाली लाइब्रेरियन भर्ती के विज्ञापन के अनुसार पात्र हो सकते हैं।
