Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026. Under this recruitment, candidates will be recruited for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police and Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs. The CAPFs include central armed police forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP and SSB. The online application process will start on 10 September 2026, and the last date to apply online is 30 September 2026. The last date for fee payment is 01 October 2026, while the application correction window will be available from 08 October 2026 to 10 October 2026. The examination date will be announced later, while the Admit Card will be released before the examination. The result date has not yet been determined and will be updated later. Candidates are advised to check the notice issued on the official SSC website for the latest information regarding the application process and examination. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university in India. For male candidates applying for the Sub-Inspector post in Delhi Police, the additional requirement of a valid LMV Driving Licence will also apply. The final eligibility criteria will be as per the official SSC notification. For this recruitment, the age limit for general candidates is 20 to 25 years. OBC candidates will receive 3 years of age relaxation, while SC/ST candidates will receive 5 years of age relaxation as per the applicable rules. Age relaxation for other eligible categories will be applicable as per SSC rules. The age will be calculated on the basis of the cut-off date specified in the notification. In the previous official CPO rules, the age limit was 20–25 years. The selection of candidates for this recruitment will be conducted through multiple stages. First, the Paper-I Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted, consisting of objective-type questions. Candidates who qualify in Paper-I will be called for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). Candidates who qualify in PET/PST will then appear for the Paper-II Computer Based Examination. After this, the Document Verification and Medical Examination processes will be completed. Thus, this recruitment will include both a written examination and a physical test. The previous official CPO selection pattern also included Paper-I, PET/PST, Paper-II, followed by the verification and medical examination process.
