Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have issued the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 05/2026 for RRB Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment, a total of 590 vacancies will be filled for various Para-Medical categories in the Indian Railways. These include 365 posts of Nursing Superintendent, 01 post of Dialysis Technician, 43 posts of Health & Malaria Inspector Grade-II, 01 post of Audiologist & Speech Therapist, 118 posts of Pharmacist (Entry Grade), 25 posts of Radiographer X-Ray Technician, 04 posts of ECG Technician, 02 posts of Optometrist, and 31 posts of Lab Assistant Grade-II. The online application process for RRB Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026 has started from 15 September 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications up to 14 October 2026, till 11:59 PM. The last date for payment of the application fee is 16 October 2026. The Modification/Correction facility for the application form will be available from 17 October 2026 to 26 October 2026, for which a non-refundable Modification Fee of ₹250 will be charged for each occasion. However, the details filled in the Create an Account section and the selected RRB cannot be modified later. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2027, and different age limits have been prescribed for different posts. The age limit for Nursing Superintendent is 20 to 40 years, for Dialysis Technician 20 to 33 years, for Health & Malaria Inspector Grade-II 18 to 33 years, for Audiologist & Speech Therapist 21 to 30 years, for Pharmacist 20 to 35 years, for Radiographer X-Ray Technician 19 to 33 years, and for ECG Technician, Optometrist and Lab Assistant Grade-II 18 to 33 years. Reserved category candidates will be provided relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the applicable rules. Different educational and technical qualifications have been prescribed for different posts under this recruitment, and candidates must possess the required qualification for the respective post on or before the last date of application, i.e., 14 October 2026. Candidates whose final result of the prescribed educational or technical qualification has not been declared by the closing date are not eligible to apply. For RRB Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026, a Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted as part of the selection process. The CBT date has not been announced yet, and the examination date and other important notices will be communicated from time to time through the official RRB website. There will be negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer in the CBT, and candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification and Medical Examination on the basis of their performance and merit in the CBT. The initial pay also varies according to the post. Nursing Superintendent will receive an initial pay of ₹44,900 under Pay Level-7, Dialysis Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector Grade-II and Audiologist & Speech Therapist will receive ₹35,400 under Pay Level-6, Pharmacist and Radiographer X-Ray Technician will receive ₹29,200 under Pay Level-5, ECG Technician and Optometrist will receive ₹25,500 under Pay Level-4, while Lab Assistant Grade-II will receive ₹21,700 under Pay Level-3. For this recruitment, the application fee for General candidates is ₹500, out of which ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT. For SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and EBC candidates, the application fee is ₹250, which will be refunded after appearing in the CBT, after deduction of applicable bank charges. Candidates can select only one RRB and can provide preferences for the Railway Zones and posts available under the selected RRB. Submission of multiple applications may lead to rejection of all applications.
