Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released a notification under Advertisement No. 05/2026 for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher Primary, Urban, and Assistant Teacher (Primary) in Non-Government Aided Schools. The notification was released on September 15, 2026. A total of 12,405 posts have been announced under this recruitment, including 11,508 posts for Urban Primary Assistant Teachers and 897 posts for Assistant Teachers in Non-Government Aided Schools. The online application process started on September 16, 2026, and the last date for payment of the application fee is October 15, 2026. A correction facility is also available, and the last date for making corrections to the application form is October 19, 2026. A written examination will be conducted for the selection process, which is scheduled to be held on December 3 and 4, 2026. The examination will consist of 120 objective-type questions carrying a total of 360 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. Each correct answer will carry 3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For the Urban Primary Assistant Teacher post, the candidate must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2026, while the maximum age limit for the Assistant Teacher post in Non-Government Aided Schools is 62 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the applicable rules. The application fee is ₹1,000 for General/Other category candidates, ₹500 for SC/ST candidates, and ₹300 for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). Candidates are required to have a graduation degree along with the prescribed teacher-training qualification, such as BTC/D.El.Ed., B.El.Ed., etc., and must have qualified the TET.
