How to Download Your Admit Card / Hall Ticket

Your admit card — also called the hall ticket — is the most important document for any government exam. Without it, you are not allowed to enter the examination hall. It is released a few days before the exam on the official website. Here is exactly how to download it, and what to check.

How to download your admit card

1. Go to the official website of the board or department conducting the exam — the same site where you applied. Beware of fake or third-party sites.
2. Find the "Admit Card" or "Hall Ticket" link for your recruitment, usually on the home page or in the candidate login section.
3. Log in using your registration number / roll number and password or date of birth, as asked.
4. Download the admit card and save the PDF on your device.
5. Print a clear copy — preferably in colour, on A4 paper. Keep at least one spare printout.

What to check on your admit card

As soon as you download it, verify that every detail is correct:

• Your name, photograph and signature
• Roll number and registration number
• Exam date, reporting time and shift
• Examination centre name and full address
• The instructions printed on it — what to carry and what is banned

If any detail is wrong, contact the helpline or email given on the website immediately — do not wait until exam day.

What to carry to the exam

• The printed admit card (and often an extra photograph, if asked).
• A valid original photo ID — Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport or Driving Licence.
• Only the items allowed in the instructions — usually a transparent water bottle and a simple pen.

Common admit-card problems and fixes

• Admit card not generating: try a different browser, clear the cache, or wait — the site is often overloaded near release.
• Forgot registration number / password: use the "Forgot" link and recover it with your registered email or mobile number.
• Wrong details on the admit card: raise it with the official helpline at once.
